Jeanne Goosen se swart komedie Kopstukke het reeds bykans klassieke en kultus status bereik. Reeds met die eerste produksie was dit ’n weghol sukses onder die publiek en aangeprys deur resensente en akademici.

Dis sekerlik net elke skrikkeljaar wat jy Tobie Cronje, Lizz Meiring, Melt Sieberhagen, Karen Wessels en Hannes Brümmer saam op een verhoog sal sien. 'n Komedie - skouspel wat beloof om die lagspiere oortyd te laat werk.

Die groot man met die kort naam en die baie lang van is uiteindelik te sien in sy debuut-eenmanvertoning. Stand-up wat nuut, skerp, snydend en bowenal al snaaks is. En indien dit teen hierdie tyd nog nie duidelik is nie: Dis ook eenhonderd persent Afrikaans.

An exciting and unusual event, which in future will be presented three times per year, kicks off in June at Roodepoort. Kosie House of Theatre in association with the Joburg ProMusica Theatre offers grade 11 & 12 learners, their teachers (and even their parents) a unique festival especially geared to them.

Classical Tuesdays are informal classical music concerts, featuring well-known chamber music, paired with unfamiliar gems and frequent premieres, presented for the pure enjoyment of the lay person and aficionado alike.

In Marita van der Vyver's most recent novel Dis koue kos, skat (published in English as Just dessert, dear) we meet Clara Brand, correspondent of fame. Adapted for the stage by Alexa Strachan, we get to know Clara as she unburdens herself  in letters, e-mails and faxes to her unfaithful husband, sisters and female friends.

The two pianists are Dawid Boverhoff and Marga Sander. Previously known as Piano Duo Molto, they specialise in symphonic music adapted for four hands on the piano. Their rendition of the famous Mahler Symphony No 5 has just been highly favourably received at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival.
